Visited the lounge on the way to our holiday to relax and chill before the flight. Wendy was very helpful and extremely nice. Made it a very nice experience. Thank you.
Very disappointing. Barely any food, nothing at all my grandchildren would eat. No biscuits, scones or sweet choices at all. No salad stuff. My grandson asked for a fruit juice and was handed a large carton. The place was heaving and we had no choice but to sit at a dirty table, that stayed that way for over an hour. Shower doesn’t work (wasn’t working in July either). Staff didn’t seem happy. Lack of food hygiene. Definitely won’t be booking again
Truly dreadful. Every other Aspire lounge I’ve been to has been fine, this was awful.
No fresh food, no clean plates or cutlery, no tidying up of dirty plates, and unhelpful staff who don’t seem to care.
So bad I’d avoid Luton airport & fly from elsewhere if possible.
I have used airport lounges on a regular basis but this one was utterly disgraceful. Firstly, I was entering in a wheelchair & the lift was very slow firstly coming down and then going back up, at which point we were met with a queue to get in, all of which was eating into our time in the lounge. After finally being checked in we had difficulty finding seats as the place was rammed with people. Having eventually got seated we were ready to sample the food - I have to say this was totally embarrassing - we had the choice of very dried up pasta or a sausage. When I commented on it to a staff member she just laughed. There was no bread ( eventually some came ) and we were also thrilled to see a further addition of gnocchi which was also dry & tasteless. The drinks were ok but we left in disgust only to find that the lift had stopped working and my carer had to carry the very heavy wheelchair with the assistance of the young lady on reception down the stairs. I was totally disgusted with the whole experience, which was supposed to get our holiday off to a great start. I would advise people to avoid this place
Such a shame to be writing a poor review of the Aspire Lounge at Luton, as we'd been before and enjoyed it all...but not long after we arrived, they had a power cut. This wasn't the first time according to the bar staff. So no soft drinks, hardly any food choices and no hot lunch. Breakfast had been served before they went into darkness, but still lacking a lot of variety. Lunch was only rolls, ham, cheese and 2 bowls of cold yuk. The hot plates were empty and no sweet things. Just because they'd had a power cut, didn't mean they had to cut back on food, like scones and cakes that we'd had on a previous visit. I'd say there was only half the amount of food on offer compared to before.
Disappointing!
Absolutely the worst lounge I have ever been in. Almost makes me ashamed to be British when I witness this sorry state of affairs compared to other lounges around the world. Poor food, poor service, filthy. Absolute disgrace.
After reading some recent reviews I was worried this wasn't going to be the start to our trip that we had hoped. However. We had a great experience, early morning arrival (9am flight) we found plenty of food and drink available and although there was a queue and a wait, as we had booked we got sent in immediately and found plenty of spaces to sit back relax and enjoy. I would definitely recommend using this aspire lounge.
What a disappointment!! The purpose of Airport Lounges is supposed to be a ‘luxury’ and make the pre departure experience more relaxing and enjoyable.
This lounge needs a significant overhaul starting with putting in a manager that is capable of dealing with the smooth running of the process.
Entered at 5.15 on a Monday morning. Firstly no decaf tea or fruit tea (my husband has a medical condition meaning he can’t have caffeine and doesn’t like coffee). Queried to be met with a condescending young lady who advised she was ‘team leader’ and in charge and there was supplier issues, but without any level of customer concern. Secondly no banana and dried up fruit, thirdly no pastries.
Hot breakfast just sausage, bacon, beans and tinned tomatoes with a bun.
To cap orange juice out of a machine and warm yogurts that are just sat on the side.
Won’t even get to the alcohol offerings as so poor didn’t even attempt one!!
I pay good money for premium banking to give me lounge access and this has to be the biggest waste of money ever experienced and left me feeling demoralised rather than invigorated!!
Would I recommend- absolutely not!!!
Come on Luton Airport sort this company out as otherwise the airport is greatly improved.
